Raga Jog the Blues from India
Jog belongs to Khamaj That. It is one of the more popular ragas appearing often in film songs and fusion music. It belongs to Kafi That and is played during late evening. (9PM – 12 Night) Arohan is: Sa Ga Ma Pa ni’ Sa Avarohan: Sa ni’ Pa Ma Ga’Ma Sa ga Sa Some times Ga ma ga Sa is also used, using touch or ang of Tilang in the mid octave and Malkauns in the lower octave gives a nice flavor.
