Event description:
Funded by a Kenan-Biddle Partnership Grant, the Duke-UNC Sangeet is delighted to host Swarsudha – A Unique Jugalbandhi Concert. Swarsudha captures the live energy of Hindustani and Carnatic Classical music traditions in a unique manner with a rare combination of Sitar, Double Violin, Tabla, and Mridangam. The first part of the concert features a Hindustani classical solo on Sitar, followed by a Carnatic classical solo on the double violin. The second part is a collaboration between all the instruments and the the two great traditions.
