Sawal and jawab
This is an exciting movement played at the end of Jhala, where the tabla player answers the instrumentalist , played and popularized by the legends like Pandit RAVI SHANKAR and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan in the hindustani trodden of Indian Classical music.

I am seeking answer to a question sir. Please let me know, that “Sawal:jawab” was not a part of traditional, official Hindustani vocal or instrumental music. It was later introduced by such legends, to make music a more vibrant and worthy repertoire!
So can we consider this interactive part really a part and parcel of “original, traditional instrumental” music?
or is it rather recent and later added?
